The logo of the United States Forest Service leads to Medicine Bow-Routt homepage

Nearly all climbing areas in Southeast Wyoming are located on the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The national forest is the gate-keeper to climbing here and SEWYCC is invested in maintaining a positive, working relationship with the incredible forest staff. SEWYCC appreciates the opportunity to represent climbers by participating in the public comment processes held by the forest such as the recent Pole Mountain Gateways project

The logo of Common Outdoor Ground leads to COG homepage

Common Outdoor Ground (COG) is another local organization committed to the sustainable use of our public lands. They are an essential connector organization, handling the necessary agreements with local land managers so that the stewardship/improvement projects can safely happen. COG also has their own cadre of motivated volunteers that come out to help regardless of any specific user group it may benefit. We are so lucky to have a local organization like COG to partner with.

The logo of the American Safe Climbing Association, leads to ASCA homepage

The American Safe Climbing Association is at the forefront of replacing fixed hardware, keeping climbing safe and accessible. Many bolts and anchors across the country are in dire need of replacement due to age, and Vedauwoo is no different. Southeast Wyoming Climbers Coalition has received both hardware and training from the ASCA.
